Providence: Film Premiere

PROVIDENCE is a dance film written and directed by Jenny Fitzpatrick. Inspired by the life and death of Joan of Arc, the film utilizes themes from Greek mythology as the artists portray the balance of choice and fate as well as strength and beauty. As a dance work, the company and director set out to experiment with the fluidity of masculine and feminine energies as it translates to contemporary movement and our take on heroism. Through movement and text, PROVIDENCE takes a look at human nature in a moment of great strife and war. A story of divine certainty and the sacrifice required to lead a purpose driven life.
